6:00 p.m. Program/Meeting
| You won't want to miss this meeting, Parliamentary Procedures: From a Notion to a Motion by Ann M. Piraino BA/Ed, CPS, MA/ABS, CRC, PMP. Most business meetings are run on a fairly informal basis. But IAAP business meetings use the basics of Parliamentary Procedures as upheld by Roberts’ Rules of Order, Newly Revised to conduct business. Why? Because, as a volunteer not-for-profit organization, all formal actions must be documented, particularly as they affect the rights of the general membership. This presentation will cover the basics of business meeting rules, establishing a quorum, business conduct through affirmation through formal motions and provide some guidance, tips and templates for the most common motions and actions in an IAAP business meeting. One recertification point will be awarded for attending this program.

1201 1st Ave. S., Seattle, WA
FREE parking in front and back.
| By allowing authors to provide their own fonts, @font-face eliminates the need to depend on the limited number of fonts users have installed on their computers. While type foundries had been hesitant to "release their fonts into the wild" for fears of piracy or problems with Digital Rights Management, they are now taking the plunge and there are both free and paid services which allow you to embed fonts into your web pages. The good news is that @font-face is supported across all browsers, (EVEN IE6) so if you know a few tricks, you can start using @font-face today!
